Who we are

SamaKasa is operated by Omniwin Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong. You can reach us at any time at support@samakasa.com.

What we collect

• Your phone number, used to sign you in with a one-time code. Employers may also add an email address.
• Your household record: the grocery lists you write, the receipts you photograph (including the images), and the cash entries you record, with the dates, shops, amounts, and notes you enter.
• An edit history of changes to receipts and cash entries, so the record can always show what changed and when. Nothing in it is hidden from you.
• Subscription state for employers who upgrade, provided by the app stores through RevenueCat. We never see your card details.
• Your waitlist email, if you join the launch list on this site, with your explicit consent. It is used only for the launch email and occasional product updates, and every message carries an unsubscribe link.

How we use it

Only to run the service: showing your list in your languages, reading receipt photos into amounts, keeping the household cash record, and adding it up for the employer's dashboard. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising, and we do not use your household record to profile anyone.

Who can see it

Your household's data is visible only to the members of that household, and both sides see the same thing. The helper owns every receipt and entry she writes; the employer is granted a view of that same record. There is nothing in SamaKasa that one side can see and the other cannot, and there is no employer-only analytics about a helper anywhere in our systems.

A small number of processors help us run the service, under contract and only for these purposes: Supabase (database, sign-in, and file storage), Google Gemini (reading item names and receipt photos), RevenueCat (subscription status), Apple and Google (payments and app distribution), and Buttondown (the waitlist email list).

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. Deleting your account erases your personal data immediately and permanently, including receipt images. The steps are on our account deletion page.

Your rights and choices

You can see everything we hold about you inside the app, because the record we keep is the same record you see. You can correct or delete entries yourself, export your record, and delete your account at any time. For anything else, including access or correction requests under the privacy laws that apply in your country, email us and we will help.

How we protect it

Connections are encrypted in transit, and every household's data is isolated at the database level so one household can never read another's. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but limiting what we collect in the first place is our strongest safeguard: we cannot lose or be compelled to produce data we never asked for.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for anything significant, tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
